A locally operated Cybercab fleet focused on Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front.
Wasatch Cyber Fleet is a planned third-party operator of Tesla Cybercab vehicles. The objective is to put professionally managed autonomous capacity into Tesla’s Robotaxi network while a local team owns the practical work of keeping vehicles charged, clean, inspected, and ready.
Salt Lake City is the primary launch market. The broader plan covers the Wasatch Front and northern Utah corridors.
Investors are not expected to manage operations, dispatch, or maintenance. The local operator runs the fleet.
Success requires Tesla acceptance of third-party fleet operators and access to the Robotaxi network in Utah.
Why this split. The goal is to keep investor capital focused on vehicles and operations rather than building a separate consumer app, dispatch system, or autonomy stack.
Utah currently allows autonomous vehicle testing under a self-certification framework. Local governments cannot prohibit AVs. Commercial unsupervised Robotaxi service is not yet operating in the state. Tesla has conducted some testing activity along the Wasatch Front, but paid Robotaxi service remains limited to other states.
Wasatch Cyber Fleet is preparing for a future in which third-party Cybercab fleets are permitted on Tesla’s network in Utah. That future is not guaranteed and depends on Tesla’s decisions, vehicle availability, insurance, and regulatory conditions.
